Now we can see another revolution, the one nobody has to go to the streets to protest or demand for anything. Actually, it is exactly the other way around. This revolution is comfortable, cozy, easy and it is taking place inside our homes, led by machines that have almost no resemblance with the older bigger ones from the Industrial Revolution. You can call them 3d printers, food printers, bio printers and now make-up printers, but I prefer to call them DIY Revolution machines.

Dot - o menor filme do mundo

A Nokia desenvolveu um microscópio que pode ser acoplado a uma de suas câmeras e tirar fotos, por exemplo, de sangue em países pobres, para serem enviadas para laboratórios em outros países. Para celebrar a invenção, eles contrataram a Aardman, que resolveu fazer o menor stop-motion já feito. A personagem principal tem 9mm de altura, para você ter uma idéia. Mais bonito que o filme, sem dúvida, é o making-of. Inspirador... e trabalhoso!

Ballet Font

BalletFont foi desenvolvida pela Weiden + Kennedy’s WK12, Fashionbuddha e Oregon Ballet Theatre, utilizando tecnologia de captura de movimento. A inspiração veio de crianças com dificuldade de aprendizado, que são forçadas a ficarem imóveis em aulas de moldes tirânicos e arcaicos, para "absorver" o conhecimento de maneira passiva, quando deveriam, na verdade, mover-se para pensar e descobrir seus próprios caminhos. No site do projeto é possível fazer o download da fonte.

Clipe que usa QR code e mostra mensagens secretas nas roupas da banda. Viajado, mas bem interessante.
"Coded Fashion is readable with mobile phones. It shows secret messages on silk and linen. The song Mediology referes to the thinking of Regis Debray. Especially the song's one word message - Iconology - equals graphical patterns, encoded in Quickread codes. These are the gamefashion patterns, the urban camouflage dresses worn by the band. On mobile screens of fans the dress coded woman appears as Venus, replacing each pattern by a segment of Botticelli's icon of beauty.
